From the Gypsywood Players:
Elvis Presley — cultural icon of the 20th century. It is however not the king of rock and roll himself, who is the center of attention of the play by American author Luigi Jannuzzi, it is the women, who, although not famous themselves, quietly influenced Presley's career and life. All the King's Women is a collection of short episodes spread across the past couple decades – prepare to see humorous confrontations, cultural references and live musical numbers. The play will be performed in English. Tickets available at gypsywoodplayers@gmail.com
................................
The production is “the story of Elvis Presley told through the eyes of 15 women; some enthralled, some appalled, all obsessed!” Each small story tells of a woman who played a small, but pivotal role in the phenomenon that was Elvis.
“This show makes us laugh at every rehearsal,” said Director Kristi Peck. “It’s really fun to watch the kids enjoy a story that they might have otherwise written off as ‘ancient times.’ The production has something for everyone, from the Elvis fanatic to someone who hasn’t given him a 2nd thought.”

The Metropolitan Museum of Art has come to life with hilarious consequences. A cast of over twenty actors and actresses have been working tirelessly to put together a wonderful evening of comedy for you. A tour guide will discover that every painting she leads the audience to reminds her of her ex boyfriend. The curator needs your help to catch the characters from two paintings, who have escaped into Manhattan. Two Egyptian mummies will describe what life on tour is really like. Many paintings will reveal their insecurities, hopes, dreams, and so much more. Featuring the stage debut of our own veteran English teacher Mr. Al Malo and twenty one of Spellman’s finest budding thespians the show is going to be an extraordinary event.
