ICEBREAKER OPENS THEATRE SEASON
Linfield College students will kick off the theatrical season with the annual Student Icebreaker, an evening of two one-act plays, Thursday through Saturday, Sept. 23-25 at 7 p.m. The one-act plays will be “Your Life is a Feature Film” by Alan Minieri and “The Appointment” by Luigi Jannuzzi. Oliver Ogden, a senior majoring in theatre arts, who appeared in "Waiting for Godot," "The Crucible" and "Stop Kiss," will direct the plays. "The plays are an opportunity for new students and returning students to meet, work together and get to know one another in a relatively relaxed environment before any major productions get rolling," said Ogden. Ogden is also excited about the opportunities the plays present him as a director. "It gives a young student director another chance to test some of his or her skills that he or she has acquired over the years," he said. Tickets for the performances are $3. For ticket information, contact the Linfield box office at 503-883-2292 or theatre@linfield.edu. For more information on the performances, contact Ogden at oogden@linfield.edu.
